All applicants must be nominated by a chapter of The Girl Friends®, Inc. If you would like to apply, but do not know of a chapter of The Girl Friends®, Inc. in your area, please email The Fund at (email address). We will connect you to a chapter in your area, if one exists.
Directions for applying for the GF Fund Scholarship:
1. Download the application by clicking the “Download Application” button below. (ARVIN, WE NEED TO PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS THAT TAKE THE APPLICATN THROUGH THIS PROCESS STEP BY STEP). A username and temporary password will be sent to the email address you provide (WHAT IS PROCESS FOR GETTING A USERNAME AND TEMPORARY PASSWORD? WHAT WILL THEY SEE WHEN THEY CLICK “DOWNLOAD APPLICATION”?)? This will allow you to save your work along the way. Your username and password will be linked to the email address you provide. For this reason, it is imperative that you use the same email address throughout the application process.
2. Submit the completed application online along with your essay and financial information.
3. Provide supporting documentation (scores, transcripts, letters of recommendation). – Share your log in information with your guidance counselor and sources of personal recommendations. Ask them to submit all documents supporting your application, online. You may also choose to print out the application and submit it with the required information to the nominating chapter of The Girl Friends®, Inc. Consult the chapter for mailing directions.
The completed application must be submitted by the (ADD DEADLINE). Applicants will be notified, in writing, of their selection no later than June 30th of each year.
